Our Results – Class of 2023

Congratulations to our Y13 students on their incredibly well-deserved results this summer.

This year group had sat no formal external exams when they started the Sixth Form after a significantly disrupted two years during KS4.  Within the context of these additional challenges, the return to pre-pandemic grading and a national drop in top grades this year, their achievements are even more significant. We are very proud of both the academic and personal achievements by students of all abilities across our curriculum – testament to the students, the support of their families and the dedication of our staff.

The Class of 2023 have defied the odds to both beat the national results and improve on our pre-pandemic outcomes with almost 60% of A level entries at grades A*-B and 34% of entries at grades A*/A or equivalent.  This means our students have secured many exciting destinations including degree apprenticeships with global companies such as Jaguar Land Rover, PwC, Mazars and KPMG.  University destinations include the Universities of Oxford, Cambridge and The Royal Academy of Music going as far as St Andrews to Imperial College London and from Manchester to East Anglia.  Again, our students will be reading a wide range of courses from marine biology to military history and from mechanical engineering to medicine.

Congratulations again to everyone, we can’t wait to celebrate your success at our Presentation Evening in January, and we wish you all the very best of luck for the future.
