The Class of 2022 – the Best Results Ever! 

We are absolutely delighted, and incredibly proud, to celebrate the success of our Y13 students this summer.  Their achievements are even more significant within the context of the additional challenges that they have faced over the last two years due to the pandemic.  They reflect the ambition, tenacity and resilience that students have shown, and they are very well deserved.

These are our best results ever, with over 65% of A level entries at grades A*-B and over 40% of A level entries at grades A*/A.  Although a school is often judged by such measures, we have seen outstanding academic and personal achievement by students of all abilities across our range of A level and vocational courses.

Our students will soon be moving to a range of exciting destinations including apprenticeships with Channel 4 and the NHS and degree apprenticeships in software engineering and PwC. University destinations include the University of Cambridge, University of Oxford, Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the Royal Academy of Music.  Students will be departing across the country including to the University of Edinburgh, University College London, University of Bristol and University of Newcastle.  They will be reading a wide range of courses from Medicine to Archaeology, Liberal Arts to Geophysics, Literature to Engineering.

This fantastic success also reflects the support of families and the dedication of our teachers and we are proud to celebrate this success as a whole school community.  Congratulations to everyone and we wish the Class of 2022 the very best of luck for the future.
