Congratulations to Year 13!

We are incredibly proud of not just their excellent results and destinations but of the way in which our Year 13 students have achieved this success. The words resilience and challenging circumstances may well have been overused this year, but it would be wrong not to recognise what it has taken for this yeargroup to achieve such success.

The Class of 2021 are departing to many exciting destinations including degree level apprenticeships and university places across the country. Although some will be staying relatively local at universities in Leeds, York, Sheffield and Manchester others are departing further afield from St Andrews to Southampton, Bristol, Warwick, Cambridge, Imperial and Kings College London. The Class of 2021 will be reading a wide range of university courses from Accounting, Archaeology, Biomedicine, Computing, Economics, Engineering, English and Filmmaking to Geography, Law, Mathematics, Politics, Psychology, Sociology and Sport Coaching. Medicine and allied healthcare professions were popular this year; ten students are going on to study Medicine and further students have secured places on courses such as Pharmacy, Optometry, Nursing and Paramedic Science.

These students have had a unique Sixth Form experience and have demonstrated the core values of Roundhay; being resilient, responsible and ready to learn. They have demonstrated that they have what it takes to be successful in spite of the challenges of the pandemic and have truly earned this success.

We offer our congratulations to all students and wish them the very best of luck for the future.
