PE & Sport
A creative and fun subject that all pupils study. Participating in a broad range of sports and activities will help to develop a wide range of skills and personal qualities, so that students can become more competent and confident. PE aims to inspire all pupils to succeed and excel in competitive sports and other physically demanding activities, including team sports and individual games.
Activities on offer within the curriculum include:
- Table Tennis
We pride ourselves on offering a wide range of activities for pupils to experience, enjoy and compete in, and we have had many successful teams in a plethora of sports and Year Groups. Our clubs are open to all abilities, and all pupils are encouraged to ‘come and try’. From our clubs, we select teams to compete in inter-school competitions and fixtures.
You can find details for all fixtures, results and individual achievements on our Twitter. We love to celebrate our pupils and all their contributions. Many pupils and families follow the page to keep up to date with the latest news.
Extracurricular Activities include:
- Rugby Union/League
- Tennis and Table Tennis
(All pupils require a full PE kit – practices are from 3.05 pm to 4.15 pm or as arranged)
Throughout their time at Roundhay, pupils will have the opportunity to involve themselves in a range of additional activities. This includes training to be a Sports Leader, being a Sports Ambassador, and taking part in Sports Days, Outdoor Adventurous Activities and other similar events.
