Sports & PE

In Key Stage 1, children are taught to develop fundamental movement skills, become increasingly competent and confident and access a broad range of opportunities to extend their agility, balance and coordination, individually and with others. They learn to be able to engage in competitive (both against self and against others) and co-operative physical activities, in a range of increasingly challenging situations.

In Key Stage 2, children build on this foundation and develop a broader range of skills, learning how to use and sequence them in different ways. They learn how to effectively communicate, collaborate, and compete with each other. They develop an understanding of how to improve in different physical activities and sports and learn how to evaluate and recognise their own success.

We are lucky enough to work with Leeds United whose coaches work with different classes across the year and provide a range of lunchtime and after-school clubs for all of our pupils.

Please contact school if you would like any further information about our PE curriculum and sports provision.
