All-Through Governing Body
Roundhay is a special place to work and learn. We aim to ensure all our pupils and students are Responsible, Resilient, Ready to Learn and therefore Recognisably Roundhay. This is our moral mission for all of our pupils.
As a Governing Body, we work hard to ensure that Roundhay delivers a high-quality education for all our pupils.
We fully understand the importance of our responsibility to set and champion the school’s vision, ethos and strategy. We focus equally on monitoring, challenging and celebrating how the school’s leadership uses these objectives to create a learning environment that allows pupils to thrive and prepares them for the future. Our Challenge and Support
Every term, Governors take part in Challenge and Support Meetings linked to strategic priorities, risk register work and school improvement planning. Governors meet with key leaders and staff to provide high-quality challenge and support. These meetings often involve meeting with children and staff, visiting lessons, and talking with parents where possible. The outcomes of these meetings are shared at the committee level. The Chairs of each committee then give feedback to the full Governing Body. We have worked hard to build the structures and systems for this to be effective and ensure a strong sense of accountability that drives up educational standards and financial health.
This is a summary of some of the key areas we focus on:
