Information about measles

You may have heard in the news that there have been a number of confirmed cases of measles in Leeds.  As you will be aware, measles is extremely infectious and can be a serious illness (no matter of age).

Please click on the link for more information in a leaflet from Public Health England.  It contains advice on preventing the spread of measles, what the symptoms of measles are and how parents can protect their families. As a precautionary measure we would advise you to check your own immunisation status as well.

It is important that anyone who suspects that they have the symptoms, they are to telephone their GP or NHS 111 for advice rather than visiting (GP surgery or A&E) in person.
